Mark started Clean it up Mark! in 1990 to scrap out construction sites. He started with an old pickup and a 7 yard trailer. This has grown to a fleet of 8 trucks and numerous employees. We now clean construction sites from Portland, Salem, Albany and Eugene Oregon. We have cleaned up and recycled about 20,000 starts since then.

This sucess has been recognized on a national level with an interview on NPR, mentions in Fine Homebuilding and Journal of Light Construction. His company is also listed as a resource for the NAHB Resource Center. Mark has also presented at the National Green Builders Conference.

Locally Mark has participated on Metro committees encouraging construction waste recycling. Mark was the construction industry representative in implementing MRFing of all C&D waste in the Portland Metro area. Mark was also elected to the HBA of Metro Portland Board of directors in the early 2000’s. In 2010 Clean it up Mark! was selected Trade Contractor of the year by the Homebuilders Association of Metro Portland. His leadership in greening up the HBA events was primary in the selection of this award.
